Christian is responsible for managing the European business for the Component Forecasts and Analysis team within IHS Automotive based in Frankfurt. Since joining the company in October 2005, he has developed and is heading the Electrics / Electronics focus area. His extensive knowledge in the area of system's integration has enabled him to quickly form relations with key players in the market place. Some of the projects that Christian has been involved in include analysis of the in-vehicle network architecture strategies of select vehicle manufacturers as well as the shift in centre console control panel design and subsequent change in supply structure for related controls, analysis of the functional breakdown of central body control units and OEM attitudes and technical trends for 48V mild hybrid vehicles and alternative Powertrain applications.
Prior to his appointment at IHS Automotive, Christian worked as an Industry Analyst with the Automotive Group of Frost & Sullivan’s Industrial team, based in London.
His extensive exposure to the R&D and marketing departments of various vehicle manufacturers and component suppliers has allowed him to develop a strong contact base within the industry. Christian incorporates a strong automotive background with valuable analytical and project management skills. He speaks fluent German and English and has a basic knowledge of French and Spanish, which makes him an experienced researcher in international markets.
