Volkswagen (VW) uses quantum computer to develop traffic management system

German automaker is collaborating with Google and D-Wave in area of quantum computing

At the WebSummit technology conference in Lisbon (Portugal) this week, Volkswagen (VW) announced that it has developed a traffic management system using quantum computing technology, the company said in a press release on 6 November. The new system is expected to replace forecasting for urban traffic volume, transport demand and travel time more accurately.
