CES 2019: BlackBerry shows ‘QNX Platform for Digital Cockpits’

New solution helps automakers deliver complete cockpit software solution built on QNX digital instrument clusters, infotainment system and hypervisor technologies

At the CES 2019 in Las Vegas (United States) last week, BlackBerry unveiled a new digital cockpit solution that enables automakers to deliver enhanced in-car experience while ensuring security, safety and reliability. According to the company’s press release, the new ‘QNX Platform for Digital Cockpits’ helps automakers deliver complete cockpit software solution built on QNX digital instrument clusters, infotainment system and hypervisor technologies. This enables access to Android apps such as Google Maps and Google Play Music, using a single electronic control unit (ECU).
