LG, Microsoft team up for infotainment, autonomous driving technology

South Korean company will leverage Microsoft’s Azure cloud and artificial intelligence technologies to accelerate the transformation of its digital platform for the automotive industry

LG Electronics has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Microsoft to collaborate on development of advanced infotainment and autonomous driving technologies for automakers, the South Korean company said in a press release last week. The partnership will enable LG to leverage Microsoft’s Azure cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to accelerate the transformation of its digital platform for the automotive industry.
