Elektrobit, Synopsys team up to accelerate automotive electronic systems development using virtual environment

The collaboration brings together Synopsys VDKs, EB operating systems, development and test tools and other expertise to enable pre-silicon and pre- ECU hardware availability and software development

Elektrobit (EB) and Synopsys have entered a collaboration to accelerate automotive electronic systems development using virtual environment, Synopsys said in a press release on 13 May. The collaboration brings together Synopsys Virtualizer Development Kits (VDKs), EB operating systems, development and test tools and other expertise to enable pre-silicon and pre-electronic control unit (ECU) hardware availability and software development. According to the two partners, the combined solution accelerates system testing cycles and enable automakers and tier1 suppliers to shift from physical to virtual testing.
