More than 11.2 million light vehicles to feature V2X communication globally in 2024, forecasts IHS Markit

DSRC is expected to lead in V2X adoption but C-V2X is forecast to gain momentum in early 2020s and surpass the former

The number of light vehicles equipped with some form of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication system will reach more than 11.2 million in the next five years compared with just under 15,000 units expected this year, according to a forecast by IHS Markit, resealed on 16 May. This will represent about 12% of the global light vehicle fleet in 2024.
