General Motors introduces new digital vehicle platform

Automaker plans to roll out its new platform on most of its vehicle models by 2023

GM has introduced an all-new electronic platform to support its next-generation vehicles, including vehicles with electric powertrain as well as those featuring greater safety, infotainment, connectivity and driver assistance technologies, the company said in a press release on 20 May. The automaker is debuting its new platform on the model year 2020 Cadillac CT5 premium sedan, scheduled to go into production. GM plans to roll out its new platform on most of its vehicle models by 2023.
