Ride-hailing app Kapten wins approval to launch service in London

The company’s ride-hailing service is expected to be available in zones 1 to 5 in London and will compete against Uber

Kapten, the French ride-hailing app formerly called “Chauffeur Prive”, has won approval from Transport for London (TfL) to operate its private hire vehicle (PHV) service in the capital city of the United Kingdom, Reuters reported on 16 May. The company’s ride-hailing service is expected to be available in zones 1 to 5 in London and will compete against Uber.
