Velodyne introduces new Puck 32MR lidar for low-speed autonomous applications

New lidar can accurately detect crosswalks, curbs and vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles and other obstacles

Velodyne Lidar has introduced the Puck 32MR, a new lidar sensor for low-speed autonomous market including shuttles, industrial vehicles, robotics and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the company said in a press release on 9 August. The new lidar features Velodyne’s patented surround-view perception capability and delivers a range of 120 meters and field of view (FOV) of 40°.
